RRHS Royal Robotics, FRC Team 5842, is based in New Port Richey, Florida at River Ridge High School. Since our founding in 2015, we’ve grown into a competitive robotics program that empowers students with hands-on experience in engineering, coding, design, and leadership.
We proudly compete in the FIRST Robotics Competition and VEX Robotics, fostering teamwork, problem-solving, and innovation. Beyond building robots, we strive to inspire the next generation of STEM leaders in our community.
To empower students through hands-on robotics challenges, foster STEM education, and build leaders who create meaningful impact in their communities and beyond.
Our outreach program builds positive relationships within the community and encourages younger students to pursue STEM fields. Team members gain leadership, communication, and teamwork skills while promoting innovation.
Each year, our team participates in the FIRST Robotics Competition as well as VEX Robotics tournaments. These competitions challenge us to design, program, and build robots that can perform complex tasks under strict time and resource limits.
Our team has earned recognition not only for technical achievement, but also for creativity, sportsmanship, and community impact.
